MARIST CIRCLE
As the Editor-in-Chief of Marist College’s independent student news organization, I led the editorial team to produce daily digital content and bi-weekly print editions circulating to over 6,000 members of the campus community. Our website, https://www.maristcircle.com/, garnered over 118,000 page views in 2019, increasing by over 25 percent during my leadership.
Find some of my clips from my time reporting at the Marist Circle below:
From 2018-2020, I worked as the Editorial Director/Editorial Advisor of a Marist Circle special project, For The Record, profiling everyday Marist students with inspiring and compelling stories through a series of photos and stories…
Marist student Courtney ‘Ness’ Clyburn, a Billboard producer who created beats for Drake and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie from his college dorm
Isaiah Lamb, a member of the Men’s Basketball team who struggled as a homeless athlete for most of his adolescent life
Charlotte Uwimana, one of three women hailing from Mushongi Village, a rural community in the Eastern Province of Rwanda, that just received access to electricity in 2017
Katy Rivera, a first-generation college student who grew up on the border of El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, and the multidimensional effects of inequalities seen throughout her life
